Hello, everyone --

Now that our first site contest (the GP Super Sportster giveaway) is over, we have two more potential giveaways in the works! But, we need YOUR help coming up with ideas on how to publicize the contests. Of course, the purpose of these giveaways is to help boost member numbers, increase site involvement, and offer cool prizes for participation within the forums! Because we aren't out to make a profit, our advertising budget is quite low!

So, if you have ideas on how we can spread the word when the next contest goes live, please post it here!

My ideas:
1. Get in touch with Cliff Whitney at Atlanta Hobbies and agree on a mutual advertisment scheme. He wants to get the word out more concerning RCRN. This past Tuesday night there were over 800 listeners during the live AirShow broadcast.
2. Get in touch with Diggs and crew at ATTF.
3. If $$ not an option, advertise in Model Aviation and/or a few other locations like Model Airplane News, etc...
4. Get in touch with Fred Midgett of Higher Plane Productions. I'm sure he has some great ideas and may even help with a recording or something. ***Ok, enough of the build up of the local guys (Diggs and Fred).
5. There's always RCGroups and RCUniverse.

Thanks for the ideas, dude! Honestly, I like numbers 1, 2, and 4. Actually, Atlanta Hobby and RCRN are sponsors on the site. I run ads for them free-of-charge just like any other company. I sent an email to Diggs about the site and he did join -- I have seen him on here a few times. Unfortunately, ads in magazines are out! Like I said, everything here is pretty much free, so the advertising budget is quite small. RCG is out -- they pretty much hate me. Tried to push a couple contests in my blog over on their site and got nailed repeatedly. Even though their rules say users are allowed one ad per week, that didn't seem to apply to me! Oh well....

Yeah, I can see where another forum site would ban the advertisement of another. Other than word of mouth, there's not much else we can do.
